Research Portfolio 10/31/12
For
my research I could use a simple football picture such as the one I found on
Flickr Commons. It is of a halftime show in Orange County. 1) State Library and Archives of Florida. Halftime Show of the Orange Bowl Football
Game: Miami, Florida. 1950. State Library and Archives of Florida, Tallahassee.
Flickr. Web. 03 November 2012. An
additional source I could use for my research would be a recent article
involving a sports injury, specifically football. In my group research project
I’m going to be using Marcus Lattimore as an example for my slides in the PowerPoint.
Last weekend on October 27th, Marcus Lattimore, running back for
South Carolina suffered a gruesome knee injury. He dislocated his knee and tore
many ligaments. Luckily, there were no broken bones. According to the South
Carolina team doctor, he should be able to pursue his football career. Not only
could I use this article, but I could embed a video of the accident to show the
class how the injury happened. It would definitely support my argument of
preventing injuries, such as these. 2) Watson, Graham. “South Carolina’s Marcus
Lattimore diagnosed with a dislocated knee.” Yahoo! Sports. Yahoo! Inc. n.d. 2012. Web. 3 November 2012.
