New Studies focus on Vitamin D and M.S.

A number of innate and ecological stimuli affects whether a person will get Multiple Sclerosis. These countless elements may also influence the harshness of this illness. Examination shows that a reduced level of Vitamin D in the blood is a conceivable danger factor for acquiring M.S. In lab mice, Vitamin D can reduce the effects of EAE, which is an M.S. like illness, and growing evidence suggests it is time to experiment if Vitamin D can implement assistance to the individuals that suffer from this terminal disease.

Study suggests that interferon’s did not decrease M.S progression.

In a study done on over 2,000 patients in British Columbia, individuals enrolled in M.S. treatment centers are said to have no reduction of advancement of M.S. when given interferon’s for their disease. This was equated alongside people who were not treated with the interferon beta drug. M.S. comprises the immune system assaults against the brain and the spinal cord. While the results are still continuing, the examination did not address the value of interferon beta in reducing M.S. reversions and the development of lesions.

How To Research using The Library Database Ethnography

In many ways the library still plays an essential role in how we locate valuable and trustworthy information. This link below is what Collin and I came up with while sitting in the library 2 day ago. http://www.slideshare.net/cpereirauwg/library-ethnography-assignment I can see that the dynamics of this is way beyond the way it was when I was younger. We still had to see the librarian and find out how the individual library was organized to find and check out the books we were seeking on the subject. With the advent of the internet there are obviously more choices such as the Gallileo Database in the Ingram Library at this fine University. There are still yet many other ways to research and this should be evident with the advent of search engines and internet information services that can be paid for such as Lexis Nexis as an example. We live in an information driven society and that was not the case when I was in my teens and early twenties. I know I know, I am the older guy and yes I have to get caught up with technology. But, Technology really moves at a rate much faster than any of us can really keep up with. It is not humanly possible to absorb so much and the key word mention is human. Human computing is still the best research method in my opinion.

Acronym for our Blog Post.

RAT

Relevancy

Authority

Trust

Relevancy helps us to determine content while working on our various school projects. I thought about this idea in class and it is highly important for creating valuable content..

Authority is making sure that whomever we get information from is in fact a reliable and known figure for the subject matter being researched. In addition, this would be for the author’s role in the niche being researched. For example: roofing. You can Google Joseph Vann Hamby to fully understand what I am saying in this post. I am an authority on this subject simply because I have been in this industry for twenty-two years, so I am highly experienced in this area. I also have some expertise in Home Improvements in the Metro Atlanta area.

Trust is the last issue stated. I would compare this to my authority by stating that WSB Radio AM 750 allowed me to participate from 1995 till 2003 with the Home Fix It show to solve roof leaks for the listeners. I am not going to cite anything from a source I do not trust. Therefore, this is my mindset with the construction industry as well as anything else I encounter in my life.

These Untitled Blogs? Are we in College? Or Elementary School...

NOTE TO INSTRUCTOR: THIS IS A RESPONSE TO THE ENTIRE CLASS FOR WEEK ONE NOT JUST ONE STUDENT I have to say that "titles" are important people. Google: Untitled. You'll see there a more results for untitled pages then I care to say. Look at it this way... Would you turn in a Thesis paper of any type without a title????? Food for thought... I suppose your professor would not give you a decent grade if the paper was untitled. Here is a search number from Google on how many pages are indexed from the search term "Untitled":  536,000,000  untitled page results. If you do not believe me on that statistic, Just Google it and I am quite sure there will be more information than you can read on that subject alone. I am not trying to be overcritical, but I know that I have been taught this simple rule from 0099 English Comp. My Teacher would get on my case on my internet dog stepping with caps at the beginning of each letter and other things as well. Please title your blog posts, I am quite sure our professor would prefer that as well. I wonder how I would find an untitled book in the library.... Titles are how indexing is done online and offline.

Library Research or Blogging 101?

In my years on internet marketing research including but not limited to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or Google Adwords marketing combined, I would have never found my self taught skills to be useful in College. This brings up several questions in my mind as to the dynamics of library research at the University. In as much as I like the blogging idea for marketing. I am not sure how this is going to best way for improved research skills pertaining to research or any other real world application. I intend on being open minded to Mrs. Critten and view this blogging scenario from an objective view point. I sincerely hope this is not an exercise in blogging 101. If it is in a sense that way, I want each and every student to understand that this approach is useful in many other ways as opposed to using it to communicate between our class populace. I expect good results from the research end of things and am not sure how this is all going to turn out as a developed skill set for my latter years. I am already 39, I have no intent on failure and look forward to passing this class. Thank you for reading and I am curious to how many of you share my thought process on this topic! By the way I answer to Vann, not Joseph. Thank you..

Hello Class and My New Teacher!!!! Wordpress Arggg..

Ok, So my teacher is pretty cool so far. Only thing is I would have preferred using my own personal blog @ vannhamby.com and designate all blog postings to a page designated to class interaction from my Wordpress Control Panel... Wordpress is far superior to BLOGGER........It is what it is........
